Asset counts to a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual PM plan with labour hours.
Enter how many CCRs, circuits, fixtures, PAPI units and signs the airfield has. The tool builds the task schedule by frequency, totals the labour hours, spreads them over twelve months and checks the load against your crew. Task times are editable planning values, so change them to match your own procedures.
When insulation, earth and CCR service work is done.
Share of fixtures spot-checked each year.
Added on top of task time.
After leave, training and non-PM work.
Minutes per unit are editable. Hours per year = units × minutes × occurrences ÷ 60. Asset counts come from the Calculate tab.
| Task | Per | Units | Min / unit | Times / yr | Hours / yr | First due |
|---|
| Frequency | Tasks | Hours / yr | Share |
|---|
Each task applies to one asset type. Units come from your inventory; photometric spot checks use the sample percentage of all fixtures.
Crew load is planned hours against crew size × productive hours per person.
Daily and weekly tasks are spread evenly. Monthly tasks fall in every month, quarterly tasks every third month and semi-annual tasks every sixth month from the start date. Annual tests fall in the month you choose, which is usually the lowest-traffic or best-weather month.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| 6 CCRs, 6 circuits, 560 transformers, 300 elevated, 220 in-pavement, 8 PAPI, 40 signs | ≈ 1,090 h tasks |
| With 15 % travel and access | ≈ 1,260 h |
| 3 technicians × 1,600 h | 4,800 h |
| Crew load | ≈ 26 % |
It does not replace the airport's maintenance manual or record the work done. It does not include corrective maintenance, spares or contractor call-outs. Edit the minutes to match your own method statements and equipment.
Quick answers on how the preventive maintenance plan, labour hours and crew load are built.
You enter how many CCRs, circuits, isolating transformers, fixtures, PAPI units and signs the airfield has. The tool builds a task schedule by frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual), totals the labour hours, spreads them over twelve months and checks the load against your crew. It also produces a PM plan as a PDF.
H = units × minutes × times per year ÷ 60. Each task applies to one asset type, and the units come from your inventory. Photometric spot checks use the sample percentage of all fixtures. The task times are editable planning values, so change them to match your own procedures.
Planned hours = Σ H × (1 + allowance), where the allowance is the travel, access and permits percentage, and FTE = planned hours ÷ productive hours per person per year. Crew load is the planned hours against crew size × productive hours per person. In the worked example, about 1,260 h against 3 technicians × 1,600 h = 4,800 h gives a crew load of about 26 %.
Daily and weekly tasks are spread evenly. Monthly tasks fall in every month, quarterly tasks every third month and semi-annual tasks every sixth month from the plan start date. Annual tests fall in the month you choose, usually the lowest-traffic or best-weather month, and that is when insulation, earth and CCR service work is done.
With 6 CCRs, 6 circuits, 560 transformers, 300 elevated fixtures, 220 in-pavement fixtures, 8 PAPI units and 40 signs, the tasks total about 1,090 h. With 15 % travel and access that is about 1,260 h per year.
No. The task list, intervals and times are planning defaults for estimating workload. The maintenance programme actually adopted shall follow the current edition of FAA AC 150/5340-26, ICAO Annex 14 with Doc 9137 Part 9 and Doc 9157 Part 5 where applicable, the national regulator's requirements and the manufacturer manuals.
Planned PM only. Corrective repairs, lamp-outage call-outs, ALCMS faults and project work are not included, and the tool does not include spares or contractor call-outs. It does not replace the airport's maintenance manual or record the work done.
