Standards Disclaimer

How to interpret standards references and certificates from Precision AGL Academy.

Last updated: September 2026

Standards Disclaimer: Course content is provided for educational and professional development purposes. Applicable ICAO, FAA, national regulatory requirements, airport specifications, and project-specific requirements should always be verified against the latest officially published documents.

1. Educational Purpose

All content provided by Precision AGL Academy — video lectures, study material, assignments, case studies and workshops — is intended for educational and professional development purposes. It reflects general industry practice as understood by the instructor at the time of preparation.

2. Not a Substitute for Official Standards

References to ICAO Annex 14, ICAO Doc 9157, FAA AC 150/5340 & 5345 series, IS 12290 or any other standard are for educational context only. These documents are revised periodically. For any real project, always work from the current, officially published edition of the relevant standard, and confirm applicability with the relevant regulatory or airport authority.

3. Certificates Are Academy-Issued

Certificates awarded on completion of Precision AGL Academy programs are Academy-issued certificates of completion. They are not government licenses, university degrees, or ICAO/FAA accreditations, and do not by themselves authorize any regulated activity. Employers and clients should independently verify any qualification requirements for specific roles or projects.

4. No Professional Advice

Nothing in our course content constitutes formal engineering sign-off, regulatory approval, or professional certification for a specific project. Design calculations, BOQs, compliance matrices and similar exercises completed during training are learning exercises and should be independently reviewed and validated before use on a live project.

5. Field & Safety Content

Any safety-related content (e.g. electrical isolation, LOTO, airside safety) is a general orientation, not a substitute for your employer's specific safety procedures, local regulations, or manufacturer instructions for the equipment you are actually working on.

6. Accuracy

While we make a genuine effort to keep content accurate and current, aviation and airport standards evolve. If you notice outdated or inaccurate content, please let us know via the contact page so we can review it.

7. Relationship to Other Policies

This Standards Disclaimer forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions (see Section 12, Standards & Educational-Use Notice, and Section 7, Certificates). Where anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms govern.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about how to interpret Precision AGL Academy's standards references and certificates.

Q1Is Precision AGL Academy course content a substitute for official standards?

No. References to ICAO Annex 14, ICAO Doc 9157, FAA AC 150/5340 and 5345 series, IS 12290 or any other standard are for educational context only. These documents are revised periodically, so for any real project you should always work from the current, officially published edition and confirm applicability with the relevant regulatory or airport authority.

Q2Are Precision AGL Academy certificates a government license or accreditation?

No. Certificates awarded on completion of a program are Academy-issued certificates of completion. They are not government licenses, university degrees, or ICAO/FAA accreditations, and do not by themselves authorize any regulated activity. Employers and clients should independently verify any qualification requirements for a specific role or project.

Q3Can I use course exercises like design calculations or BOQs directly on a live project?

No. Design calculations, BOQs, compliance matrices and similar exercises completed during training are learning exercises. They should be independently reviewed and validated before use on a live project, since nothing in the course content constitutes formal engineering sign-off, regulatory approval, or professional certification for a specific project.

Q4Is the safety content in the courses enough to work safely on an airfield?

No. Any safety-related content, such as electrical isolation, lockout/tagout or airside safety, is a general orientation only. It is not a substitute for your employer's specific safety procedures, local regulations, or the manufacturer's instructions for the equipment you are actually working with.

Q5What if I notice outdated or inaccurate content?

Let the Academy know via the contact page so it can be reviewed. The Academy makes a genuine effort to keep content accurate and current, but aviation and airport standards evolve over time.

Q6How does this Disclaimer relate to the Terms and Conditions?

This Standards Disclaimer forms part of, and should be read together with, the Terms and Conditions, particularly the sections on Certificates and on Standards and Educational-Use Notice. Where anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms govern.
